The Infrastructure Charge will be per container from Monday 2nd April 2007 as follows:

Import full containers - £5.50

Import Empty containers – No charge

Export Full containers – No charge

Export Empty containers – No charge

Transhipment containers – No charge
 

Charge Principles

  • Recovery of remote Infrastructure costs 'beyond the gate' only
  • The Charge is to be levied to the cargo 'declarant', defined as...
    • Non EU = the nominated clearing agent as indicated at the time of out-gate
    • EU = the agent making the Community Status declaration on FCPS / Destin8 as indicated at the time of out-gate
  • Cost reduction will remain a priority throughout the Inquiry and future build process
  • Infrastructure Charge term and recovery can be settled only after Felixstowe Branch Line Inquiry - decision expected July 2008
