SAFETY DEPARTMENT
Safety Managers are available from 0800 hours to 1800 hours daily and are ‘on call’ outside of these hours via the Port Fire & Ambulance Service.
This service is available to Port management, employees and customers alike and advice can be given on current UK, European and International fire, health, safety and environmental legislation.
A wide range of environmental monitoring is carried out in the workplace and sampling analysis for gases, chemicals, noise, radioactivity, exhaust ventilation systems and lighting can all be undertaken.
Routine safety inspections, tours, job task safety analysis, risk assessment and accident investigations are all performed, in addition to safety training for Port personnel to increase safety awareness, reducing accidents and loss.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH
The Occupational Health Department offers a comprehensive and confidential health service, covering all aspects of health screening and welfare problems. It includes counselling and physiotherapy services.
All services, apart from the physiotherapy service, are available to other companies within the Port. A list of charges is available on request.
All emergency and first aid services provided by both Occupational Health and Fire/Ambulance Departments are free to everyone.

FITNESS STUDIO
The Occupational Health Department offers a fully equipped and professionally staffed fitness studio.
The studio is available to all Port of Felixstowe employees and port users - prices are available on request. It is open from 0630 hours - 2130 hours, seven days a week.
