What do you like best about working at the port?

That every day is different from the last and the huge variety of work I am exposed to.

Best Day?

Visiting the ZPMC site in Shanghai to oversee the build of two new ship to shore cranes.

What did you do before your current role?

High Voltage Technician - responsible for the maintenance of the 11kv network which powers the port..

Describe your role at the Port of Felixstowe:

Engineer Planner - this involves planning the day to day maintenance required to keep port assets fully operational, these include, quay cranes, RTGs and RMGs.

What is the biggest challenge of your job?

The biggest challenge is coming across problems with no information what so ever and overcoming them.

What do you find most satisfying about your role?

Again that no two days are the same, and in my current role, I experience a large variety of work enabling me to meet new people in the Business and share and learn from their experience..
