At Hutchison Ports Port of Felixstowe we recognise the value of having a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the community we are based and the clients we serve.

Our colleagues are a key pillar to our business, and we understand the need to continuously move our culture forward in an ever-evolving world. Our business strategy is aligned to the UN 12 Sustainable Development Goals – covering the principles of reduced inequalities and good health and wellbeing. The Port of Felixstowe is committed to creating an inclusive culture and has priorities in 4 key areas:

Inclusive employer of Women

Our colleague networks and working parties align to the above pillars and represent the views and needs of the represented group to the business. The networks work to raise awareness, celebrate difference, and promote Allyship across the business.

It is widely known that Maritime has traditionally been a male dominated industry. The Port of Felixstowe actively strives to be recognised as an inclusive employer of women. We know our female representation is less balanced than we would like, however, we have a strong plan for attracting, developing and retaining females in a variety of roles. Our Gender pay report can be viewed here.

The Port of Felixstowe is proud to be accredited with the Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award, recognised as Disability Committed and endorsed by Work180 UK.
