We are delighted to share that the Port of Felixstowe has won the Cold Chain Federation 2026 Business Climate Initiative Award. This is a great achievement for the port’s Cold Chain Project Team, reflecting on the Team’s commitment to improving customer experience, enhancing safety, and delivering meaningful environmental gains across cold‑chain operations.

This recognition highlights the impact of a project that has:

  1. Delivered major sustainability benefits through significant reductions in emissions and diesel usage across reefer activities.
  2. Improved the customer experience, removing days of delay from the chilled and frozen supply chain and providing a more reliable, competitive product for our cold‑chain partners.
  3. Reduced off‑power periods for temperature‑controlled cargo, supporting product integrity and building even greater confidence in our service.
  4. Enhanced safety for our people, cutting tens of thousands of high‑risk manual plug/unplug occasions every year.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication, collaboration and problem‑solving of colleagues across operations, commercial teams, and our external partners who supported the initiative.

A huge well‑done to everyone involved — a truly well‑deserved win and a milestone that reflects the best of what we can achieve together as ONE TEAM.
