Port of Felixstowe employees, friends and family enjoyed some glorious weather as they came together for the Marine Conservation Society’s (MCA) annual Great British Beach Clean event.
It was a pleasant sunny Saturday morning, with volunteers helping to collect litter from the beach adjacent to the port. The port has supported this national MCA event for many years; it raises awareness of the importance of protecting our coastline and marine environment.
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the morning such a success, 13.3 Kg of litter was collected in total. This is a great example of people coming together to make a difference in the community on our doorstep and educating some of our younger generation in the process.
